About Al Rashid Perfumes

Al Rashid Perfumes has been trading out of Souq Nazer Bin Saif in Doha for more than seven years. What started as a small perfume counter in the souq has grown into a store that people across Qatar come back to, whether they're picking up an everyday oud or the newest release from Afnan, Armaf, Rasasi or French Avenue.

We're not a big chain and we don't try to act like one. It's a family-run perfume business, and every bottle on our shelf has been smelled, tested and picked by someone who actually loves the trade.

Meet Ajmal, Founder of Al Rashid Perfumes

Al Rashid Perfumes was founded by Ajmal, known to a lot of regular customers as Ajmal – The Perfumist. He's spent years in Qatar's perfume trade, sourcing and testing fragrances himself before they ever make it onto the shelf at Souq Nazer Bin Saif.

Ajmal was one of the first to bring trending Middle Eastern and Arabic perfume lines into Qatar when they were still new to local buyers, and that's stayed the focus of Al Rashid Perfumes ever since. If you've ever asked him for a recommendation in the store, you'll know he'll usually pull out three or four bottles and let you smell them side by side rather than just pointing you at whatever's on the shelf front.

He shares daily deals, new arrivals and honest notes on fragrances he's actually tried on his Instagram, @ajmal_theperfumist. It's a good place to check before you visit if you want to see what's just come in.

Al Rashid Perfumes carries a mix of designer, niche and Arabic fragrance houses, including Afnan, Rasasi, Armaf, French Avenue, Lattafa, Khadlaj, Rayhaan, Le Bonheur and Ahmed Al Maghribi. New arrivals and trending Middle Eastern releases are restocked regularly, so it's worth checking in or messaging us on WhatsApp if you're after something specific.
